What is PHUNGA HERITAGE

Phunga Heritage is a communion of culture of different communities of North East India. It endeavors to promote the diverse culture of the region. A think tank to preserve the rich cultural heritage. Phunga in Manipur means a hearth where people gather together and share wisdom. The essence of Phunga Heritage is to propagate the true culture of Phunga by sharing of thoughts and brotherhood amongst the people of North East India.
In an area where there are more than 200 tribes, each tribe displays their own ethnic identity in terms of dialect, folk dance, tales, food, costumes and craft. The diverse tribes live together in harmony in small geographic spaces.
Phunga Heritage acts as a catalyst in exchange of culture between North East India and the rest of the world.

Home Stay

Our homestay facilities allow you to live and interact with individual families of North Eastern Indian states and be part of the community on your visit. We facilitate homestay for you in Arunachal, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya.

We can have lotus tea either from fresh lotus flower or dried lotus flower, lotus leaves (Thamna, especially the tender leaves, known as thamna likon in Manipuri), lotus root (Thambou in Manipuri),

Lotus 108

Lotus 108 (Thambal chammanipal) is more potent and fragrant than other variety of Lotuses found. The locals near the Loktak Lake (Largest Fresh Water Lake) especially the red Lotus 108, believe this particular variety of Lotus 108 (Thambal chammanipal) was sent by Gods through a bird dropping the seeds in the Lake.

Blue Lotus Tea

It is collagen promotes glowing and vibrant skin and also provides skin elasticity. Helps build muscle and burn fat. It is also a good stress-buster, it relaxes muscles, sedative, soothing, gives a peaceful feeling, helps with anxiety, and enhances good sleep.
